I don’t think you gave this EQ a fair shake TBH. I think it has curve choices, movement and harmonics that differentiate it from a standard digital EQ.

well - I kind of understand brainworx that they just want to unify the looks of their older plugins - they do look modern, nicer - although I agree that a bit too dark.

Sorry but they need take it beyond the hardware and offer things like steeper cut filters and frequency solo, especially for 150 bucks. The analog style interface with every knob at a glance would actually make it a great every day EQ but it needs more features.

Sorry bud but Pulsar Modular plugins are pretty killer. I have got rid of about 90% of my plugins since using them. RUclips Drama ... meh

Since ive got my hands on a few Pulsar Modular plugins, I’ve found that my GAS has reduced tremendously. The next best thing becomes less appealing as I already have a set of tools that work brilliantly. Fairuz took some time for me to comprehend. I’ll give you that. Early on I was trying to use it as normal eq and only later I realized that, when used to boost or minimize resonances in a recorded instrument or vocals, that it really clicked for me. It made my acoustic guitar sing in a way I didn’t know it could. Of course, use cases for everyone would be different. This was just mine. ❤

I like Pulsar Audio plug-ins. I'll have to take a look at it, but I've recently bought the Pultec bundle and Manley Massive Passive from UAD. I might wait a bit. This just goes to show not even similar equalizers are equal.

I will write that It is sooo wrong...because.....it is sooo wrong. Using dynamic EQ as transient shaper is like shooting bazooka to mosquito, destroy whole house and mosquito now has no place to stay. Man, you are sooo wrong !

I love people talking about how we need new and innovative plugins that... ..... that what? I've never witnessed someone actually give an answer as to what it is in 2024 that we can't yet do to audio. But you know-people scared that their music needs something more, and that unknown plugin on the horizon might provide that. I'll be keeping on the look-out for solid plugins that raise the quality of my productions. That 5-10% matters.

This thing fucking sucked. It was a scam and fucking tired of fucking scam. Artists it sucks for the people that fell for it. I fell for shit when I first started as well but this was just too much the war they pushed it. they got you tube personalities that we love listening to and trust to push it on us like a fucking drug like that guy needs more money to fuck people over like that

All of NA’s plugins require a level of intellect in order to get them to function in a way that’s actually going to make your music sound better. There are plenty of twist and go plugins out there, NA’s efforts are not that type. If you’re not prepared to learn how to use them then try something a little less challenging like Universal Audio or Waves, both of which I own and use on a daily basis, but they’re not very complex. I own all of their NA’s plugins. I would suggest downloading them and trying them out. Their demos are fully functional for 30 days! You won’t be disappointed. I also would suggest the video series on all NewFangled Audio plugs by Groove3. Well produced and very informative.

I don't own all waves plugins(but very many) so studio rack/verse is useless for me because it always a plugin or two missing when I load these different plugin chains.

speaker simulation VSTs will become more and more important because (unfortunately) people have to live more and more in apartments where noise is a problem.

Wait a second, they're just EQ curves? But doesn't that technically mean I can do a little research and come up with five or so different EQ curves of my own and save them as presets on my own EQ and just stick em on my master? The answer is yes, yes you can. If it's just an EQ curve why would I pay $150 for that? The other features like adding noise and s*** like that is not worth it at all. The measuring tools are a little gimmicky also. I mean we should all have a better spectrum analyzer and loudness measurement tool that we use instead of these little tiny half working meters in this tool. This should not be the main tool you use for those purposes. So at the end of the day it's just applying an EQ curve to your master. Okay, I think I will not pay $150 for that. If it had built-in room compensation for different environments now that would be interesting, but it is too complicated to build in for these guys. Also your system that you're playing on is inherently colored itself. So by adding this tool on top of your own system all you're doing is coloring more out of everything. If you don't flatten everything first which is a job done by another tool like Sonaworks reference ID, you're just coloring a system that's already colored. ???? But just throwing in a bunch of different EQ curves.... maybe for $30 I would play around with it. But for $150, and they're only giving you an EQ curve, in their best estimation btw, to represent a device without any room compensation or inherent distortion, phase, modulation or other factors that are a part of different speaker systems being played in different listening environments and no flatening or diagnosis of your current room characteristics prior to adding their curve, which will just muddy everything up with more color? No man. I don't think it's quite up to par for 150 bucks, not even CLOSE. $30, yes. 😂 Check this out: Sound ID reference by Sonaworks is only $69 right now. Not only do they correct for your room and speakers but they offer a much better feature called 'Translation Check'. Google it. Realphones 2.0 ranges from $69 up to $153. So it's still cheaper even at its most expensive, but its fir headphones only. Hmm.. time to step up your game Audified.

Hmmm... Is probably really, very good.... But being Sound Theory it's going to be very expensive..... This seems very flexible and intuitive to use.... But It's probably a bit of a luxury item.... If you already have good, flexible saturation that you know how to use.

I don't think it was the best marketing choice to trash on the people who bought their previous plugin as honestly it kind of soured me on purchasing future plugins.

5:46 Apparently the plugin uses minimum phase crossovers rather than linear phase to get this zero latency - as a result you're going to get phasing issues around each band

Oh I absolutely love this. Glad to see you doing a video on it. It's basically on all my drum tracks now. I just wish Andreas would add a GR meter to it. Well, that's my personal wishlist. Though, even in it absence, Kraftur works great and the ability to create such depth and layers to your sound is immensely helpful.

Thanks for the demo, Marlon. It looks and sounds good, I'm going to hold off as I'm still enjoying my Schwabe Gold and Orange Clip plugins with Softube or SSL X-Saturation, Vintage Drive for saturation.

No GR metering makes this useless to me for mastering

I consider this a design desaster. Basically the 2/3 of the plugin to the right are mostly useless eye candy. Trying to compare the input (x-axis) to the output (y-axis) spectrum drove me crazy. The whole flickering mess discourages or even hinders just hearing what's going on with the sound. It might sound great, but this to me is a big failure.

I always wondered if Soundtheory was going to release another plugin or not. I'm happy to see that they have. Intro price of $70 is tempting me to make the purchase this week.

I just bought it 3 hours ago and I can say that it is fantastically versatile and incredibly accurate! I am impressed with this plugin!🥰
